One of the best snacks you can find at Disney’s Hollywood Studios is the Carrot Cake Cookie from the Writer’s Stop. This moist and chewy cookie sandwich is affectionately known as “The Miracle Cookie” in our family. Here’s why.
Our journey to the Writer’s Stop had a few bumps in the road. Without getting into too much detail it involved a ‘not feeling so good’ child, a missing cell phone and a canceled Jedi Training session. Trying to salvage the day, we trudged on and made our way to the Writer’s Stop.
Now here’s the miracle part of the story. All day long our son was convalescing in the stroller. However, as soon as I brought out the cookie, he immediately rose from his laying down position and begged me for a bite, One bite of this delicious cookie and he felt better. Miracle! In fact, he ended up eating most of it.
The best way to describe the Carrot Cake Cookie is that it’s very similar to a whoopie pie. Two carrot cake cookies are nestled around a generous layer of cream cheese frosting. Each cookie is loaded with plump raisins and visible trails of fresh carrots. The cookies are moist, almost cake-like, but hold their shape very well. The sweet creamy frosting balances the spice of the cookies. This treat is especially good paired with a good cup of coffee.
If you haven’t tried the Carrot Cake Cookie yet or you’re craving one (like me), you better hurry. If rumors are true, the Writer’s Stop may be the next casualty due to the new park expansion. We’re keeping our fingers crossed though. The Writer’s Stop is a welcome retreat from the hustle and bustle of the park. It would be sad to see it go.
Since we originally wrote about the magical Carrot Cake Cookie, the Writer’s Stop has had some changes. The Carrot Cake Cookie was being served over at Sweet Spells, but rumor is it has returned to The Writer’s Stop. We would check both spots in search of it!
